Before there were X-boxes and iPods, we had Atari’s and Walkmans.
Before BluRay discs and Sirius radio, we had BetaMax tapes and cassettes.
Before “Lost” and “Grey’s Anatomy”, we had “Lost in Space” and “St. Elsewhere.”
Before e-mail and text messages, we had to pass notes written on ACTUAL paper.
We watched “E.T.” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, hated New Coke, wore parachute pants, stayed up late watching videos on MTV, received “The Boost” if we did our homework in Mr. Miller’s class, rolled pencils up the ramp in the high school with our nose, saw the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Cold War come to an end, bought gas for 79 cents per gallon and thought people in their late 30’s were pretty much ancient.
Please mark July 2 and 3, 2009 on your calendar. We are in the process of planning some great events, to include a family-style picnic, an awesome dinner/mixer and a tour of the old high school. Our goal is to reach as many of our classmates as possible.
We will be sending out more information on the reunion this spring. So plan on putting the family in the car, next summer and heading to Hancock for a great time!
